The world's second-largest fair in its field and Eurasia's largest, IBAKTECH, will be held for the 15th time at Istanbul Expo Center on October 14-17, 2026. At the fair, which is preparing to bring together industry stakeholders from 150 countries under one roof with its participant and visitor network, more than 500 exhibitors and brands are expected to take part, and a business volume exceeding 5 billion euros is targeted over four days. Organized every two years by Messe Stuttgart Turkey Fuarcılık, IBAKTECH brings together a broad professional network in Istanbul, from baked goods, bread-pastry, chocolate, confectionery, and ice cream manufacturers to HORECA professionals, and from machinery and equipment manufacturers to the industry's suppliers. The fair, which featured 332 exhibitors in 2024, was visited by 92,482 people from 118 countries, 10,566 of whom were international, enabling IBAKTECH to break its own visitor record. In 2026, when participant and visitor countries are evaluated together, industry stakeholders from 150 countries are expected to come together in Istanbul.
ONE OUT OF EVERY 10 VISITORS PLANS AN INVESTMENT OF OVER 100,000 EUROS
In IBAKTECH's growth, the investor profile stands out alongside the number of visitors. According to fair data, one out of every 10 professional visitors plans an investment with a budget of more than 100,000 Euros. Representatives from different areas of the industry—from manufacturers to machinery and equipment companies, and from investors to purchasing professionals—will come together in Istanbul for new investments, export connections, and commercial collaborations.
Drawing attention to IBAKTECH's growth momentum, Messe Stuttgart Turkey Fuarcılık General Manager Ufuk Altıntop said: "At a time when contraction is on the agenda in global trade and many sectors, IBAKTECH's continued growth shows that the appetite for investment and trade in our industry continues. In 2024, we broke our visitor record. In the research we conducted after the fair, the fact that 99 percent of our visitors stated that their expectations were met, and that 93 percent of our international visitors were at the fair for investment purposes, reveals the commercial potential behind the scale we have reached. In 2026, we are raising the bar even higher in terms of both our fair area and our international reach. Istanbul's strategic geographical position and the visa facilitation that Türkiye offers for many countries also support international demand. Together with our participants and visitors, we aim to bring together industry stakeholders from 150 countries under one roof and to reach a business volume exceeding 5 billion Euros in four days."
7 HALLS ACROSS AN 80,000-SQUARE-METER AREA
Increasing international demand is also reflected in IBAKTECH's fair area. The organization, which was held in 5 halls in 2022 and 6 halls in 2024, will expand to 7 halls and an 80,000-square-meter area in 2026. The industry's broad product and technology groups will be featured at the fair, including bread and pastry machines, dough machines, chocolate and ice cream production technologies, packaging machines, bakery and patisserie equipment, professional kitchen equipment, and refrigeration systems.
VISITOR SATISFACTION AT 99 PERCENT
In the research conducted after IBAKTECH 2024, 99 percent of visitors stated that the fair met their expectations, and 92 percent rated IBAKTECH as "very good" or "good." While 93 percent of international visitors stated that they were at the fair for investment purposes, 97 percent of visitors reported that they planned to attend the next IBAKTECH.
